SANDBLAST

It involves the removal of all the layers of Antifouling up to the Gel Coat or fiber, depending on the need in each case. Recommended process to combat osmosis. The technique of sandblasting or “sandblasting” consists of expelling sand at great pressure to take advantage of the speed of the grains of sand to clean every millimeter of the surface of the underlying structure. To leave a material as new, time is required in the use of this technique. It is recommended that this process be carried out every 5-10 years to prevent accumulations of antifouling. It is also recommended once oxidation is visible, in the case of metal boats, or once osmosis appears in the case of fiber boats. It is advisable to renew epoxy resins, primers, antifouling, etc… in order to carry out a new anti-osmosis preventive process, and thus extend the life of your boat to the maximum.
